Weapons are tools used by players in Ninjala to fight and defend themselves from opponents and destroy drones. They are given to the player directly from the start of the game and do not require any purchase to access.
Description[]
Each weapon has a set kit that includes a Special, Gum Shoot, Gum Ninjutsu, and Abilities. While Gum Shoots and Gum Ninjutsu can vary from weapon to weapon, Specials and Abilities are locked to certain subclasses. Players start the match with a normal-sized weapon, but can construct a bigger, more powerful Big Weapon after reaching eight units of S-Energy. Big Weapons are more powerful than a normal weapon; they do slightly more damage to opponents, have extended range, and unlock a second Big Weapon Ability that the player can utilize.
Various palette swaps for weapons, usually referred to as Weapon Skins, can be obtained via random drops after a match, the Gumball Machine, or promotional codes.
List of weapons[]
There are currently five classes of weapons: Katana, Hammer, Yo-yo, Board, Punch and Extra. Each weapon is further divided into smaller subclasses, which are explained further on each class's respective page.
Katana[]
Katanas are consistent and easy to pick up, as they are balanced in speed, range, and strength. While the Type A subclass is very all-around, the Type B subclass, while still retaining these properties, tend to have a more fluid series of attacks. Type C is slower and more cumbersome but has longer-ranged attacks and have whip-like abilities.

Hammer[]
Hammers are generally slow and heavy to carry around, but deal a lot of damage and provide higher than average health. Hammers are good for players who want a heavy-hitting weapon. The Type A subclass is about negating the hitstun of attacks and hitting very heavily, while the Type B subclass attempts to halt attacks and keep enemies trapped, at the cost of a bit less damage. The Type C subclass focuses more on staying alive and helping teammates, having a healing special and a more combo-emphasized set of neutral attacks.

Yo-yo[]
Yo-yos are extra-long range and slightly-above-average speed, but weaker damage on general attacks and have less health. With many attacks covering a wide range, Yo-yos help players who would rather attack from a distance or help with supporting their teammates, though they all work excellently in close combat as well. The Type A subclass excels in long-range attacks and moves and generally relies on one move to deal damage. The Type B subclass on the other hand, though still retaining the long reach to a lesser extent, is centered as well on close-range combat, and deals more consistent damage. Type C is more mobility-focused, with good range and powerful but difficult to control attacks.

Board[]
Boards are centered on high mobility, having specials that travel a great distance quickly. They are generally above-average speed, slightly below-average health, and very decent attacking power. While Type A focuses on quickly killing the opponent in just a few hits, having a special that greatly buffs damage, Type B has a more combo-centered kit, with slower but much more fluid attacks.

Punch[]
Punch-type weapons combines two different styles. Subclass Type A are close-range weapons with high mobility and attack speed. They are very complex compared to other weapon types due to having various possible combos and many unique functions. Type B is even more complex by additionally changing the normal attack schema. In contrast Type B are long range weapons.

Extra[]
Extra-type weapons are stylish, mid-ranged and timing based weapons with fast attacks. While its standard attacks are averagely strong its true strenght relies in its zanshin attacks. With these strong moves the player can prevent opponents from escaping or even evade attacks. The wielders speed is low like with a Hammer but not noticable because of the fast attacks.
